HOW TO PLAY KEYANO
WHAT IS KEYANO?
Keyano turns your keyboard into a musical instrument. Every letter plays a note. Every word can trigger a chord. Sentences become compositions. You do not need to know music. Just type.
QUICK START
1
Wait for the instrument to load. You will see READY in the left panel.

Click anywhere on the page so your keyboard connects to Keyano.
3
Press any letter key. You will hear a note and see it fly up onto the canvas.
4
Type the word LOVE then press SPACE. A chord plays with a visual effect.
5
End a sentence with . and it drifts upward like smoke.

Hold Shift while pressing a letter to play the sharp. O = C4, Shift+O = C#4. Keys glow blue.
CAPS LOCK = FLAT (b) MODE
Toggle Caps Lock for flat mode. All keys play one semitone lower. Keys glow red. Toggle again to turn off.

200+ words trigger special chords when typed and followed by Space. Each chord sounds like what the word means. Single letters and common words like THE, AND, I, YOU all have unique chords too.

Every word triggers its chord. You are composing music by writing sentences.
KARAOKE MODE
Click SONGS in the nav bar. Pick a song from the list on the left. Notes scroll from right to left across the screen. Press the correct key when the note reaches the hit zone on the left.
HOW TO PLAY

Click SONGS in the top navigation bar.

Pick a song from the left sidebar. Start with Twinkle Twinkle.

Click START. Notes slide in from the right showing which key to press.

Press the key shown when it reaches the HIT zone on the left. The note disappears when correct.

Blue notes = hold Shift. Red notes = turn on Caps Lock first.
SCORING
Every correct note adds to your score. Build combos for bonus points. Your score resets each song. Try to perfect every song.

Click GAMES in the nav bar. All games teach real music skills.
WORD CHORD: Ear Training
A chord plays. Guess which word it belongs to from 4 options. Trains chord recognition.
KEY WORDLE: Chord Spelling
Guess the word chord in 6 tries. Green = right spot. Yellow = wrong spot.
NOTE MEMORY: Sequence Training
A sequence plays. Repeat it back. Gets longer each round. Trains musical memory.
PERFORMANCE TIPS
WRITE POEMS NOT JUST NOTES
Think like a poet. Use word chords to build emotional sentences that also sound musical.
USE DRUMS AS A FOUNDATION
Turn on Boom Bap or Funk drums first, then type over the beat.
SWITCH OCTAVES MID-SENTENCE
Press 2 for low, 4 for middle, 6 for high mid-sentence. Creates dynamics without changing what keys you press.
POST YOUR BEST LINES
Hit POST to share to the Feed. Others can hear your exact sequence and reply.
